Our Leadership

Executive Team

Michael Golden

Chief Executive Officer

Justin Golden

President

Michael has provided irreplaceable leadership for Stephen Gould for nearly half a century. He has taken on numerous roles and responsibilities over the years and his vision and expertise were instrumental in growing the company to nearly three-quarters of a billion in sales today. A proud alumnus of Bowling Green State University, Michael continues to mentor business school students at his alma mater. In 2016, he was inducted into the university’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Hall of Fame. Michael is also a long-time supporter of equestrian sports. His horse, Gem Twist, is considered one of the greatest show jumping horses of all time, winning numerous championships and Olympic medals.

Representing the third generation of Golden family leadership, Justin takes special pride in how the company continues to be a family business in the truest sense of the word. In his role as President, Justin is focused on connecting the company’s past to its present and future, embracing growth and innovation while fostering Stephen Gould’s distinct culture and way of working. Justin is also an active participant and fundraiser for local charities and causes, including the River Fund, where he sits on the Board of Directors. In his free time, Justin enjoys unwinding with family and following Premier League football — he is a die hard Liverpool fan.

John Golden

Executive Vice President

Kim Ings

Executive Vice President

Anthony Lupo

Chief Financial Officer

John began his career at Stephen Gould as a teenager, working summers alongside his brother Michael, in the Bayonne warehouse operation.  Since graduating from University of Colorado he has held numerous roles in the company and influenced nearly every aspect of Stephen Gould’s culture. John moved into executive leadership in the early 1980s, working with his family and first generation leaders to transform Stephen Gould into a diverse and truly global operation. Fueled by dedication to family enterprise and love of adventure, John is grateful to have studied under Stephen Gould’s early leaders and pass that knowledge along to succeeding generations. Always in search of the next horizon, John and his wife Marcy enjoy blue water sailing and the company of Rachel, Matt and their sons.

A CPA, Kim started her career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse Coopers, where she served multiple Fortune 50 companies and honed her expertise in audit services for multinational companies. Kim later moved on to Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, where she rose to become the Director of International Finance and Accounting, overseeing a team on three continents and leading expansion into new markets. Since arriving at Stephen Gould, Kim has built out a new finance team structure and works closely with the executive team on strategies for change management and streamlining financial policies. A passionate philanthropist, Kim frequently volunteers and coordinates charitable giving on behalf of a local non-profit that supports under-resourced mothers in her community.

Anthony arrived at Stephen Gould in 1993, serving first as Controller before taking the role of Chief Financial Officer, which he has held for nearly two decades. Anthony is known for his active leadership and eagerness to roll up his sleeves and work collaboratively. Anthony has been integral in shaping Stephen Gould’s culture, his passion evident in the care he shows for people and the way he goes about his work. Seeing the company grow during his tenure has been a source of joy for Anthony and spurs him to keep seeking out new challenges in and out of the office.
