Bringing Back Snacks

All Work

We developed a new co-packing program for a major airline that helps them efficiently repack in-flight snacks for flight attendants while complying to COVID-19 health and safety regulations.

As airlines began to bring back in-flight snack programs at the start of 2021, our Duluth, GA team purchased equipment that allows us to quickly process individual snacks into packs and then repack them in bulk for shipping to the airline’s catering distribution centers. Our facility receives KIND bars, Clif bars, Goldfish, and Rold’s Gold Pretzels from food manufacturers and repacks them into the desired size and quantity for the flight attendants to use in their carts during flights.

On a good week, our Duluth team can repack about 2.5 million snacks with two shifts per day. Facility Manager Austin Bowling and the facility staff have done tremendous work setting up this operation and continuously improving for greater efficiency.

You can see the Duluth facility in action on YouTube.
