Family-owned and deeply rooted in Alabama soil, Red Land Cotton set out to elevate its customer experience with packaging that reflected the quality and heritage of its American-made textiles. When the brand decided to overhaul every aspect of its packaging, from shipping boxes to tissue paper, they turned to Stephen Gould for support.

The Challenge

Red Land Cotton’s rapid growth in e-commerce required packaging that could both protect and showcase their premium products. Early packaging lacked cohesion and refinement, and communication and lead times with previous suppliers had become a bottleneck. The brand needed a reliable packaging partner who could improve quality, simplify logistics, and maintain the brand’s tactile, natural aesthetic, all while managing tight fulfillment timelines. Red Land Cotton’s rapid e-commerce growth created a need for packaging that could both protect their products and elevate their premium brand. Their early packaging lacked cohesion and refinement, and long lead times with previous suppliers had become a major bottleneck. They needed a reliable partner who could improve quality, streamline logistics, and uphold their tactile, natural aesthetic—all while meeting tight fulfillment deadlines.

The Solution

Led by Austin Hatfield from our Alabama office, the team created a comprehensive packaging program tailored to Red Land Cotton’s needs. They designed three styles of printed corrugated shippers, including a custom RSC featuring an interior print “Easter egg” and a bottom-panel note that enhances the unboxing experience. The program expanded to include hang tags, faceplates, custom tissue paper, and premium twill ribbon sourced to match the texture and tone of Red Land Cotton’s home linens. A soft-touch embossed welcome envelope, with branded inserts and printed recipe cards, added a warm, personal touch to every order.

Stephen Gould also provides local warehousing and just-in-time (JIT) deliveries within 20 minutes of the Red Land Cotton facility, ensuring seamless supply and responsive service as their order volume continues to grow.
