As sustainability regulations continue to expand across the U.S. and globally, brands are facing increased pressure to reduce packaging waste without compromising performance, design, or scalability. To support this shift, Stephen Gould is working closely with Meadow, a Stockholm-based packaging technology company, to help bring Meadow’s KAPSUL™ refill system to market.

Meadow’s KAPSUL™ technology replaces single-use plastic bottles with aluminum refill cans paired with a reusable dispenser. Built around aluminum’s infinite recyclability and supported by an established global supply chain, the system is designed to enable circular packaging at scale while delivering a refined, intuitive consumer experience. This approach aligns with the growing adoption of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks, which are reshaping how brands approach packaging sustainability.

Through this collaboration, Stephen Gould licenses Meadow’s KAPSUL™ technology and supports dispenser production and commercialization through its global manufacturing and supply chain network. With operations across the United States, Europe, Brazil, Australia and Asia, Stephen Gould helps brands integrate the system efficiently, from dispenser design and prototyping to manufacturing coordination and logistics. This collaboration allows brands to adopt circular packaging solutions while maintaining flexibility, quality, and speed to market.

A recent example of this work can be seen in a body care project for Natulim a Spain-based brand launching a new shampoo, conditioner, and body wash line. Working with Meadow, the Stephen Gould Fremont team supported design development, high-fidelity prototyping, and in-person manufacturing validation prior to full-scale production. The result was a scalable refill solution that aligned with Natulim’s sustainability goals while addressing evolving European regulatory requirements.

By combining Meadow’s circular packaging technology with Stephen Gould’s design, engineering, and global manufacturing expertise, this relationship helps brands move beyond traditional single-use packaging toward solutions built for long-term impact and scale.
